Portfoliana
Creative concept / side project: This page documents a fictional universe and creative-development exercise, not a completed newsroom series or published reporting package.
Creative Concept
At night, ideas often begin with a quick note on my phone and grow into story-driven media concepts. Portfoliana draws from that creative rhythm, blending a fictional universe with real-world themes of building a media portfolio, pursuing local opportunities, and developing a recognizable on-camera voice. The concept centers on Trace the Rater as both creator and protagonist, alongside a cast of original characters informed by friends, family, and creative collaborators. These characters shape the story world through interviews, hangouts, performances, and work-centered scenes, creating a natural framework for both narrative storytelling and portfolio growth.
